Women’s Lacrosse Well-Represented on 2023 GNAC All-Conference Team
BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College women’s lacrosse program was well-represented on the 2023 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference squad, landing eight players across the teams. Senior Megan Steele (Auburn, Maine), sophomores Delaney Brown (Agawam, Mass.) and Deja Srimouksavanh (Portsmouth, N.H.) and first year Avery Robillard (Rowley, Mass.) earned GNAC Second Team honors. First year Livia Fedele (Spencerport, N.Y.) was named to the GNAC Third Team and joined fellow first years Emily Gates (Waterford, Conn.), Broghan Laundry (Swampscott, Mass.) and Ella Marschitz (Naperville, Ill.) as selections on the GNAC All-Rookie Team. Senior Ali Bergin (Newbury, Mass.) represented Emmanuel on the 2023 GNAC All-Sportsmanship squad.

Steele earns the second All-Conference nod of her career, following up her 2021 GNAC Rookie of the Year and Second Team honors with another Second Team selection. She capped her senior campaign with 61 points on 34 goals and 27 assists as one of only six players in the GNAC to post at least 30 goals and 25 assists on the year. She ranked tied for sixth overall in the conference in assists and 16th in points.
Over her EC career, Steele registered 125 points on 83 goals and 42 assists to rank seventh all-time in points, goals and assists despite missing over one full season due to the pandemic cancellations.
Brown earns All-Conference honors for the second consecutive campaign following a First Team nod in 2022 when she was also named the GNAC Defensive Player of the Year. She racked up 41 groundballs and ranked 12thin the GNAC with 32 caused 32. She helped EC's defensive unit to a sub-10 goals against averaged, ranking fourth in the GNAC at 9.42. GAA.
In two collegiate seasons, Brown has played in 36 contests and earned 34 starts. She's racked up 87 groundballs and caused 65 turnovers.
Srimouksavanh earns her first All-Conference nod after earning All-Rookie honors last season. She led the team in points with 70 to rank tied for 10th overall in the GNAC on 41 goals and 29 assists and was one of only two players in the league to record 40+ goals, 25+ assists and 70+ draw controls on the year. She posted double-digit performances in 18 or 19 games this season set the EC single-game assists record of six helpers in a win over Lasell on April 26.
Over two seasons, Srimouksavanh has already accumulated 111 points on 68 goals and 43 assists while corralling 122 draw controls to rank fifth all-time at Emmanuel.
Robillard makes her first All-Conference appearance after a productive campaign on both ends of the field. The defender was not afraid to get involved in the offensive attack, registering 28 points on 18 goals and 10 assists. She was an important part of the Saints clearing scheme which converted 285 successful clears on the year, the third highest total in the league. Robillard added 50 draw controls, 41 groundballs and 31 caused turnovers.
Fidele lands on the GNAC All-Conference Third Team and All-Rookie squad after an impressive rookie campaign that saw 69 points on 42 goals and 27 assists. Her 42 goals lead the Saints and was one shy of the EC rookie record for goals in a season (43) by Emily Saef during the 2019 campaign. She recorded at least one point in 18 of 19 games and scored multiple goals in 12 games including four games with four or more scores.
Gates, Laundry & Marschitz join Fedele on the All-Rookie squad as members of a stacked class of 2026. Gates registered 42 points on 32 goals and 10 assists, Laundry 43 points on 33 goals and 10 assists and Marschitz 52 points on 36 goals and 16 assists. The four EC first years on the All-Rookie Team combined for 206 points
The Saints wrapped the 2023 campaign with an overall record of 14-5 and a 10-3 mark in GNAC action. EC secured the No. 4 seed in the GNAC postseason, picking up a 14-7 victory in the GNAC Quarterfinals over Colby-Sawyer College before falling to the eventual 2023 champs, Johnson & Wales University in the Semifinal. The 14 victories marks the second-highest single-season win total in program history only behind the 2014 season when the Saints went 15-3 and won the GNAC Championship.
