Women's Lacrosse Claims GNAC Win at Regis, 18-6
WESTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel Saints women's lacrosse offense came out in full force, scoring an 18-6 win with six players scoring at least two goals in the game, as the Saints claimed a Great Northeast Athletic Conference win over the Regis Pride at Regis Stadium on a rainy Saturday afternoon.

Emmanuel scored the first eight goals of the match, led by senior Chandra Franca (Woburn, Mass.) with three goals and one assist, before Madeline Conover (West Newbury, Mass.) scored her first career goal off an assist from Marley late in the first quarter. The Saints extended their lead with five more goals from five different players in the second period. First-year Deja Srimouksavanh (Portsmouth, N.H.) had a goal and assist in the Saints five-goal run. The Pride's Morgan Pero (Hartford, Vt.) picked up a goal late in the first half for the Regis, leaving the Pride trailing 13-2 at the half.
EC maintained their lead in the second half, led by senior Jessica Borduas (Woodbury, Conn.) with a goal and two assists in the third quarter. Each team scored two goals in the fourth period, with Pero and Kylee Marley (Westerly, R.I.) scoring for Regis and first-year Rachel Canedy (Woodstock, Conn.) and Franca picking up Emmanuel's tallies.
Franca led the Saints with five goals, while Borduas and first-year Anna Drillen (Readfield, Maine) collected two goals and three assists apiece. Senior Lincoln Hamblett (East Boothbay, Maine) and Srimouksavanh finished with two goals and one assist apiece, and Canedy also scored twice for Emmanuel.
Senior Emma Crowley (Peterborough, N.H.) played the first three quarters in net for the Saints and finished with three saves before first-year Isabella Thomas (Miami, Fla.) took over for the fourth period. Grace Heffernan (Winchester, Mass.) earned six saves in net for the Pride.
Marley led the Pride with two goals and one assist, while Pero scored two goals on the afternoon.
Regis College (1-4, 1-2 GNAC) hosts the University of Saint Joseph Tuesday, March 22, beginning at 4 p.m. at Regis Stadium. Emmanuel College (2-3, 2-1 GNAC) travels to face Elms College Tuesday night starting at 7 p.m.
