WOMEN'S LAX CRUISES PAST ANNA MARIA, 19-1
Paxton, Mass. – The Emmanuel College women's lacrosse team cruised to a 19-1 win over Anna Maria College in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action today at AMCAT Field. Anna Maria dips to 0-3, (0-3 GNAC) while the Saints remain unbeaten 3-0, (3-0 GNAC) on the season.

EC freshman Emily Baker (Stratham, Mass) had six points (3 goals, 3 assists) to lead the Saints while three players posted four point games. Junior Sarah Wootten (Berlin, Md.) potted a hat trick and dished out an assist, Kristen Tuleja (Mansfield, Mass.) added two goals and two helpers, and Sarah Higgins (Groveland, Mass.) scored once and had three helpers.
Baker opened the scoring just fifteen seconds into the game as the Saints quickly put the game out of reach, leading 15-0 at the intermission.
Anna Maria College sophomore Brittany Jackson (Mamaroneck, NY) tallied the first goal of the season for the AMCATS. Jackson would break-up the shutout bid halfway through the second half, tipping the twine with an unassisted score at the 14:33 mark.
Shannon Donovan (Marlborough, Mass.) made seven saves for the AMCATS, while Jackson had a team-high two ground balls and three draw controls. EC sophomore goalie Lauren White (Lynfield, Mass.) made three saves to earn the win.
Anna Maria is now off until Tuesday afternoon when they travel to Johnson & Wales University. Emmanuel returns to the field tomorrow when they head to Regis College for a non-conference match.
