SAINTS WRAP UP REGULAR SEASON WITH WIN OVER GATORS

Chestnut Hill, MA - Sophomore guard Iman Davis (Toms River, NJ) poured in 20 points on 9 for 16 shooting in just 25 minutes of play to boost the Saints to a 96-61 victory over Pine Manor College in GNAC women's basketball action on Saturday afternoon.
Davis, who also managed a team-high 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals, was one of three Emmanuel players to score in double figures. Senior forward Jacque Pannell (Bloomfield, CT) lit up for a season-high 15 points, hitting 7 of her 12 attempts from the field. Sophomore forward Abilgail Brenkach (Germantown, NY) hit for a career-high 12 points and grabbed 5 boards in the win. Senior guard Jade Paez (Bronx, NY) chipped in with 9 points, 4 assists, and 4 steals for the visiting Saints.
Pine Manor was led by Enjolee Phillips, who netted a game-high 21 points. Amanda Dennis and Nicole Doras added 16 and 13 points, respectively.
This was the final regular season game for both teams. Today's win puts Emmanuel at 19-6 overall and 12-1 in the conference. The Gators fell to 7-16 overall and 3-10 in the GNAC. The Saints have once again nabbed the top seed for the upcoming GNAC post-season tournament. Quarterfinal play will begin on Tuesday night (2/26), with the Saints hosting 8th-seeded Simmons College at 5:30pm.
