Coach Martins joined the Emmanuel staff in the spring of 2016 as an Assistant Coach. He joins the staff after spending one season as a member of College of Fenway rival Wentworth Institute of Technology coaching staff that 13-4-4 and advanced to the Coastal Commonwealth Conference championship game.

Martins earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wentworth, graduating in August 2016, and was a standout on the soccer field for the Leopards.

Martins was a four-year starter and two-year captain at Wentworth. The defender was selected team MVP by his coaches and teammates in 2013 and 2014, earning First-Team honors in 2015, Honorable Mention in 2014 and 2013. Martins was also a stand out in the classroom being named to the CCC All-Academic Team twice.

When not coaching the Saints, Martins works full-time for Baltic Trail Engineering. He works as a Refrigeration Engineer where he is responsible for aiding in the design of commercial refrigeration systems and assembling bid packages and design documents for potential clients.

Martins resides in Boston, Mass.
