Bio

Matt Jewers joins the men's lacrosse staff as an assistant coach for the 2023 season.

Jewers brings a wealth of collegiate coaching knowledge to the Saints bench with previous coaching stops at Coker College, Bridgewater State University and Boston College, primarily working with goalies and team's faceoff units. He's also served as an East Coast recruiter for the University of Oregon Men's Lacrosse program. 

In addition to his collegiate experience, Jewers has served as an Assistant Coach on the Switzerland National team since 2017, coaching the team in the World Lacrosse Championships and Berlin Open.

Jewers is a veteran in the local and club lacrosse scene with experience with Laxachusetts, Cro-Art Lacrosse and Rare Breed Lacrosse Goalie Training. He's also been on staff at the Dom Starsia Lacrosse Camp (UVA), Greg Cannella All-Star Lacrosse Camp (UMass Amhrest), Yale University Bulldog Day Camp (Yale), The Goalie School (Roanoke College), Joe Alberici (Army) Coastal Empire Lacrosse Camp, Princeton Instructional Camp (Princeton) and Joe Breschi Instructional Camp (UNC).

Coach Jewers graduated from Salem State University where he played four varsity seasons for the Vikings Men's Lacrosse program as the starting goalie. He earned the 2002 Richard Anderson Coaches' Award and served as a team captain his final two seasons.

Matt teaches full-time as a Special Education instructor at Neighborhood Charter Schools.
