PROVIDENCE, RI – Six-straight goals propelled the Johnson & Wales University men’s lacrosse team to victory on Wednesday. The Wildcats won for the second time in three games as they defeated Emmanuel, 12-8.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Six-straight goals propelled the Johnson & Wales University men's lacrosse team to victory on Wednesday. The Wildcats won for the second time in three games as they defeated Emmanuel, 12-8.

Of Note:
A Matt Katon goal at the 3:26 mark of the second quarter built a 5-3 Saints lead. Charlie Moran assisted on the goal as he factored into the first five Emmanuel scores.
Eric Russo found the back of the net with 51 second left in the quarter to cut the Emmanuel lead to 5-4 at the half. JWU scored the first five goals of the third quarter to take a 10-6 lead.
Alex Flanagan and Jonathan Ahern scored to pull the Saints within 10-8, but Thomas Lyons and Max Stone answered with scores of their own. JWU outscored Emmanuel 7-2 in the second half.
Johnson & Wales nearly doubled Emmanuel in the shot department, 44-24, and forced the Saints into 28 turnovers. The Saints won 19 of 24 face offs.
