Curtis enjoyed a stellar senior campaign en route to being named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year for the second straight season. The Ashland, Mass. native set a new Emmanuel single-season record this year for goals (48) and points (66) to help the Saints capture the program's third-consecutive GNAC Championship. Curtis tallied at least two points in 18 contests this season including a three point outing against two-time defending national champion Tufts University in the opening round of the 2016 NCAA tournament. Along with his GNAC Player of the Year honors, Curtis was also named a First Team GNAC selection for the third straight season and earned GNAC Tournament Most Valuable Player honors.
Over his career, Curtis recorded 195 total points on 138 goals and 57 assists and graduates as the Emmanuel all-time leader in all three categories.
Curtis becomes the first player in the program's five-year history selected to compete in the North-South Senior All-Star game, which was first established in 1942. Emmanuel College head coach Brendan McWilliams was selected to play in the game as a player during his senior year at Colorado College in 1998.
Emmanuel wrapped the 2016 season with an overall record of 11-9 including an 8-0 mark in the GNAC. The Saints claimed their third GNAC crown and NCAA tournament berth before falling in the first round of the tournament to Tufts University.
