MEN'S GOLF SPLITS IN HOME TRI-MATCH

DORCHESTER, Mass. - The Emmanuel Golf Team hosted Daniel Webster College and Elms College in a tri-match at William J. Devine Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon. The Saints split, defeating Daniel Webster and falling to Elms. Elms took the honors on the day with a low team score of 312. Both, Emmanuel and Daniel Webster, finished with team scores of 358 and the tie-break was decided by the fifth golfers' scores for each team.
Elms freshman Kyle Simard (Thorndike, Mass.) carded the low score on the day with a 72 on the par 70 course to lead the Blazers. Classmate Henry Fall (Harpswell, Me.) finished with a 74, while freshman Tyler Cudnik (Hampden, Mass.) and senior Andrew Sullivan (West Springfield, Mass.) shot a pair of 83's to give the Blazers a team score of 312 and wins over Emmanuel and Daniel Webster.
Emmanuel senior Nicholas Cyrus (Rockland, Mass.) finished with the low score for the Saints with an 85 on the day. Classmate Patrick Dillon (Bedford, N.H.) carded a season-low with an 88, while junior Michael DelSignore (Narragansett, R.I.) and freshman Ben Taylor (Newbury, Mass.) shot 90 and 95, respectively. Freshman Melanie Dean (Pittsfield, Mass.) scored an even 100 and broke the team tie at 358, giving the Saints a win over Daniel Webster.
Daniel Webster was led by Riley Proulx's 87 and Emily Bouchard's (Saco, Me.) 88. Mike Fuller (Chelmsford, Mass.) carded a 90 and Greg Repko (Stratford, Conn.) finished with a 93 on the day. Corey Saibatis (Findlay, Ohio) added a 105 for the Eagles.
Emmanuel will compete next on October 30th and 31st in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship match at Triggs Memorial Golf Course in Providence, R.I.
