Golf Appears in Inaugural Tony Mariano Vermont Invitational
RANDOLPH, Vt. - The Emmanuel College golf program joined the field for the inaugural Tony Mariano Vermont Invitational hosted by Norwich University, combined to shoot a 355 for a seventh place finish on Friday morning at Montague Golf Course in Randolph, Vermont.

THE LEAD – The Emmanuel College golf program joined the field for the inaugural Tony Mariano Vermont Invitational hosted by Norwich University, combined to shoot a 355 for a seventh place finish on Friday morning at Montague Golf Course in Randolph, Vermont.
EMMANUEL HIGHLIGHTS
- Junior Connor Maguire (Old Lyme, Conn.) posted an 83 (+13) for the second consecutive match, good for a tie in 17th place in the eight-team field.
- Saints sophomore Ian Reynolds (East Haven, Conn.) was one stroke behind Maguire with an 84, tied for 21st overall.
- Sophomore Gianni Ridolfi (Kittery, Maine) carded a 93 (+25) and junior Jackson Keplinger (Cheshire, Mass.) shot 95 (+26) to round out the EC top four scores.
- In his first collegiate match, first year Diego Serra (New Bedford, Mass.) posted a 96.
WINNING PERFORMANCE
- Caden Capaldo of Keene State and Matt Printup of Norwich shared medalist honors, each firing off a 73 (+3) for the low rounds of the afternoon.
- The host Cadets claimed victory in the team event thanks to four rounds below 80 to register a team score of 309, just one stroke ahead of New England College who posted a 310 in second.
UP NEXT
- The Saints return to the links on Tuesday, September 20 when they host the Emmanuel Invitational at Franklin Park Golf Course. EC welcomes Elms, Rhode Island College and Mitchell for a four-team field scheduled to tee off at 12:00 PM.
