Golf Wraps '22 Spring With Season-Low Performance at ECSU Thread City Invite
NORTH WINDHAM, Conn. - Emmanuel College closed out the 2021-22 golf year carding their lowest team score of the season, posting a 350 at the Tread City Invitational hosted by Eastern Connecticut State University at The Windham Club in North Windham, Conn. The Saints finished in 10th place overall and for the first time all year had their top four golfers shoot in the 80’s.

THE LEAD – Emmanuel College closed out the 2021-22 golf year carding their lowest team score of the season, posting a 350 at the Tread City Invitational hosted by Eastern Connecticut State University at The Windham Club in North Windham, Conn. EMMANUEL HIGHLIGHTS
- One stroke separated all the Saints as first-year Ian Reynolds (East Haven, Conn.) led the way for EC with a team-best 86 (+16) on the par-70 course.
- Senior Michael Mencio (Watertown, Conn.) was next with an 87 (+17) followed by sophomore Jackson Keplinger (Cheshire, Mass.) who carded an 88 (+18).
- Sophomore Connor Maguire (Old Lyme, Conn.) posted an 89 (+19) to round out the top-four while first-year Noah Kosh (Guilford, Conn.) still played well with a 92.
WINNING PERFORMANCES
- The host ECSU Warriors took home the team crown with an impressive 298 total that saw its top four golfers all break 80, highlighted by a 71 & 72 by Jonah Dupuis and Ashton Lewis.
- Salem State's Brian Cannata earned medalist honors with an even par 70 (E), just beating out Dupuis for the honor.

- The Saints will return to action next fall for their traditional playing season starting in September.
