THE LEAD – The Emmanuel Golf program was back on course on Wednesday afternoon at the Emmanuel Invitational, as first-year player Ian Reynolds (East Haven, Conn.) came through with the best round of his early college career.
EMMANUEL HIGHLIGHTS
- First-year Ian Reynolds (East Haven, Conn.) turned in a career-best round of 78 (+8), for his first career top-10 collegiate finish, earning a solo-seventh place.
- Sophomore Connor Maguire (Old Lyme, Conn.) scored his best round of the season, finishing with an 84 (+14) and a tie for 15th place.
WINNING PERFORMANCES
- St. Joseph's College first-year Drew Mathieu (Windham, Maine) was Wednesday's medalist, turning in a 73 (+3), for his first career collegiate victory.
- Roger Williams University took the team win, shooting a total of 304, led by junior Ben Brodeur (Whitinsville, Mass.) and his 75 (+5). St. Joseph's finished second with a team score of 311, followed by Albertus Magnus at 321.
