WINTHROP, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference is pleased to announce it will host a one-day, 18-hole GNAC Men's Golf Championship on Monday, April 19 at Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy, Mass.
The four core GNAC members sponsoring the sport – Albertus Magnus College, Dean College, Emmanuel College, and Saint Joseph's College of Maine – are set to compete, with an automatic qualifier to the 2021 NCAA Division III Tournament at stake.
Wednesday, April 21 will serve as the event's make-up date in the case of potential inclement weather on the 19th.
The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) and Bethany College are set to host the 2021 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships May 11-14, 2021 at Oglebay Golf Course in Wheeling, West Virginia, and championship rounds will be played at the Speidel Golf Club on the Arnold Palmer Course and the Robert Trent Jones, Sr. Course.
Albertus Magnus was originally scheduled to host the two-day, 36-hole GNAC Championship event this past fall at the New Haven Country Club, but the school and the league will now shift that focus to hosting in Fall 2021.
The event would mark the first-ever GNAC Championship competition for Dean, which is in its first year as a full core GNAC member amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
Perched atop the Quincy Quarries, Granite Links is the premier venue for golf in the Boston area. The GNAC is thrilled to provide this championship opportunity for its student-athletes, and would also like to extend its thanks to Emmanuel Asst. AD and GNAC men's golf sport chair Dan Campagna for his efforts in helping plan the exciting event.
