MEN'S GOLF FINISHES 4TH AT NIGHTHAWK KICKOFF CLASSIC
BROOKLINE, Mass. – The Emmanuel College men's golf team finished fourth at the second Nighthawk Kickoff Classic Tournament carding a team-score of 362, Monday afternoon at Robert T Lynch Golf Course. Wentworth Institute of Technology finished first in the five-team field with a team-score of 321.

Finishing atop the 26-player field, Mitchell College first year Andrew Abbott (Walpole, Mass.) posted a two-under, 33, on the back nine. The Walpole native was lights out on the backside, recording four of five birdies from the 12th hole to the 16th hole to earn medalist honors firing a score of even par, 71.
Wentworth sophomore Paul Arsenault (Middleton, Mass.) lead the Leopards posting a two-over par, 73 to finish second well Newbury first year JayCub Lever (Saugus, Mass.) rounded out the top three carding a career-low round of 75. Senior Matteo Pocobene (Malden, Mass.) led Emmanuel College to fourth place, 362, firing a team-low score of 78.
The Saints had a few student-athletes making their collegiate debuts in the match as freshmen Brian Daly (Burlington, Mass.) and Jack Hanrahan (Thompson, Conn.) as well as junior Tyler Russ (Exeter, N.H.) all appeared in their first match for Emmanuel. Daly shot an 89, Russ a 101 and Hanrahan a 104. Rounding out the EC five was freshman David Byrne (Newport, R.I.) who carded a 94 in his second collegiate match.
The Saints return to the links on Wednesday September 23rd when they compete in the second annual Newbury College Invitational at Franklin Park's William Devine Golf Club in Dorchester, Mass. at 10:00 A.M.
