MEN'S GOLF COMPETES IN ECAC CHAMPIONSHIP AT CRUMPIN FOX GOLF COURSE
BERNARDSTON, MA - Middlebury College took home the 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Men’s Golf Championship on Sunday, posting a two-day team score of 635. Nichols College sophomore Colin Whitney (Longmeadow, MA) was the top individual, registering a two-round score of 153 (78-75) to finish +9.

Nichols College sophomore Colin Whitney (Longmeadow, MA) was the top individual, registering a two-round score of 153 (78-75) to finish +9.
Middlebury finished 13 strokes ahead of the competition in the 14-team event at the Crumpin Fox Golf Club. Freshman Fitz Bowen (Kenilworth, Ill.) shot a 75 on day two, leading his team with a two-day total of 154 to place second overall. Freshman Matt Marra (Barrington, R.I.) tied for sixth overall, shooting a 158 with a 78 in round two. Junior John Louie (Salinas, Calif.) carded back-to-back 80's to place eighth.
Western New England finished second with a combined team score of 648, led by Patrick Donahue in third place overall at 155 (77-78). Elms College placed third at 649 (328-321), Nichols College finished fourth at 651 (324-327), and Endicott College rounded out the top five at 652 (324-328).
Emmanuel finished 11th overall with a two-day score of 688, shooting 356 on day one while improve 24 strokes as a team on the second day with a 332. Brett Burmann was the low Saint, firing away an 89 and a 79 for a total of 168 to finish tied for 29th overall.
