Bio

Albert Hayle joined the Emmanuel coaching staff in 2010, as an Assistant Coach for the Saints Men's Basketball Team. Hayle is an Emmanuel alum, graduating with the college's first co-educational class. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Social Development in Youth and Adolescents in 2005.

Hayle was one of the first men to play basketball at Emmanuel, competing on the team during the program's inaugural season in 2001-02. Hayle was both a four-year starter and four-time team captain for the Saints. Hayle was named the team's Most Valuable Player in each of his four seasons at Emmanuel. He was the program's second 1,000-point scorer and is among Emmanuel's all-time leaders in career rebounds, steals and double-doubles. While with the Saints, Hayle was a two-time GNAC All-Conference selection and was named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll several times during his career.

Hayle was also a leader off the court, as he was the President of Emmanuel's Student Government Association and Black Student Union. He received one of Emmanuel's Campus Life Awards in 2004 and Emmanuel's Senior Athletic Achievement Award in 2005.

After graduating from Emmanuel, Hayle received his Master's Degree in Social Work from Wheelock College in 2009. He currently serves as the Director of Student Support at the Mission Grammar School in Boston, Mass.

Hayle is originally from Jamaica, but grew up in Brooklyn, New York and attended South Shore High School. He currently resides in Roxbury, Mass.
