The Falcons were propelled by a season-best 53.3% shooting from beyond the arc to remain undefeated in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play.
The Saints got a lively crowd going early on, scoring the first seven points of the game, and forcing Falcons Head Coach Mitch Oliver into a timeout under four minutes into the matchup. Back-to-back Albertus Magnus three pointers out of timeout brought the visitors within a point early on.
With 8:29 left in the half, a Deivone Tanksley (Hartford, Conn.) jumper gave the Falcons their first lead of the game. Albertus Magnus extended their lead to four, but a Donte Pope (Middletown, Conn.) mid-range jump shot, and a Mahari Guerrier (Stoughton, Mass.) layup brought the Saints back level at 19. The two sides traded baskets for the remainder of the half and went into the break in a deadlock at 26-26.
A hot second-half start by the Falcons allowed the visitors to take and grow the lead to 11 at 46-35 less than five minutes into the half. Five unanswered points from Cameron Snowden (Franklin Park, N.J.) just minutes later cut the Falcons lead to five. That deficit was quickly extended again after a 14-2 run that put the Saints behind 59-46 with just under eight minutes to go.
