Riddick & Fox Named to GNAC All-Conference Squad
BOSTON, Mass. – Senior guard Emmett Riddick (Middletown, Conn.) and junior forward Marcus Fox (Danbury, Conn.) have been selected to the 2019-20 GNAC Men's Basketball All-Conference teams, it was announced Monday morning by the conference office. Riddick makes his second straight appearance on the All-Conference squad while Fox earns the honor for the first time in his Emmanuel career. EC junior Zachary Crisafulli (Easthampton, Mass.) was also named to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship squad.

Riddick earns Second Team honors for the second straight season following a standout campaign in which he averaged a team-best 18.7 points per game to rank eighth in the GNAC in scoring. The Middletown, Conn. native scored double-figures in every game he played at least 25+ minutes in and over the final six games of the season averaged 22.3 points per game during the stretch run including a career-high 39-point outing vs. Albertus Magnus on February 18 to tie the program's single-game scoring record. Riddick was one of the conference's most consistent players from the charity stripe, finishing the year with a 78.7 free throw percentage in league games to rank fourth in the conference among players with at least 100 makes. The senior notched the first double-double of his career on February 12 with 25 points and 10 rebounds vs. Saint Joseph's (ME). He was named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll six times during the season. Riddick finished the year also leading the Saints in assists (90) and steals (31).
Over his career at Emmanuel, Riddick established himself as one of the program's all-time great scorers, averaging 15.5 points a game through 96 career contests for the second highest per game average in program history. He capped the year with 1,492 points to rank third all-time and ranks third in free throws made at 330. Riddick also will graduate ranked third in career assists (258), sixth in steals (113) and 17th in rebounds (347).
Fox joins Riddick on the GNAC All-Conference Second Team following a breakout junior campaign that saw the big man ranked average nearly a double-double all season long. The junior ranked 10th in the GNAC in scoring at 17.8 points per game and fourth in rebounding averaging 9.6 boards a night. Fox ranked second in the GNAC and 14th in the country in double-doubles, posting 15 on the year. The Danbury, Conn. native became Emmanuel's 10th 1,000-point scorer during the campaign and was named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll eight times during the year and was also named the GNAC Player of the Week for the first time in his career on January 6.
Over three seasons, Fox has scored 1,029 points to rank ninth all-time in scoring while his 522 career rebounds rank 10th all-time at Emmanuel. Fox is currently ranked fourth in career shooting percentage at 54.5% from the field (382-701) and fourth in career free-throw percentage (79.6%).
Emmanuel ended the 2019-20 campaign with an overall record of 19-7 including a 7-4 mark in GNAC play to earn the No. 3 seed in the 2020 GNAC tournament field. The 19 wins was the second-highest win total in program history while the No. 3 seed marked the first time in 10 seasons that the Saints hosted a GNAC tournament game in back-to-back years.
