Saints Women's Cross Country Caps Season at East Regional Championship
BRUNSWICK, Maine - With 35 teams competing in the NCAA Division III East Regionals, the Emmanuel College women’s cross country program came away with a 30th place finish on a rainy Saturday morning at Bowdoin College’s 6k race circuit.

THE LEAD – With 35 teams competing in the NCAA Division III East Regionals, the Emmanuel College women's cross country program came away with a 30th place finish on a rainy Saturday morning at Bowdoin College's 6k race circuit.
EMMANUEL HIGHLIGHTS
- Senior Elizabeth Cameron (Raynham, Mass.), a 2022 Great Northeast Athletic Conference First Team honoree, led the Saints runners, finishing Saturday's 6k in a time of 26:28.2.
- Junior Emma Krantz (Manchester, N.H.), who was named to the GNAC Second Team, crossed the finish line in a time of 27:50.8.
- Senior Mia Rowell (Candia, N.H.) was next over the line for EC, completing the event with a time of 28:27.0.
- Senior Molly Winship (Boxford, Mass.) finished the 6k East Regionals in a time of 28:50.0, a time that set a new season-best 6k time.
- Senior Kate Elliott (Carmel, Ind.) set a new personal best 6k, coming across the line in a time of 28:59.8, beating the previous PR by 10 seconds.
WINNING PERFORMANCES
- Bates senior Jillian Richardson (Auburn, Maine) claimed the individual championship in the East Regional, finishing with a time of 21:41.1, winning the 6k by 44 seconds.
- In the team competition, MIT was named the East Regional Champion, using five scores inside the top 13 to score 36 points, claiming the victory over second place Bates by 28 points.
UP NEXT
- The East Regional Championships brings an end to the Emmanuel cross country season. Many of the five Saints runners in the regionals now turn their attention to the Indoor Track and Field season, with indoor competitions beginning on Dec. 3.
