Saints Cross Country Starts 2022 Campaign in Suffolk Short Course Classic
BOSTON - Saints cross country made their 2022 debut on Friday afternoon, taking part in the Suffolk Short Course Classic. The women competed in a 3.1K race while the men’s programs competed over 5K.

THE LEAD – Saints cross country made their 2022 debut on Friday afternoon, taking part in the Suffolk Short Course Classic. The women competed in a 3.1K race while the men's programs competed over 5K.
EMMANUEL RESULTS
- Senior Elizabeth Cameron (Raynham, Mass.) was the women's program top finisher, completing the 3.1K in 13:08.7, good for 58th position.
- Junior Anna Goodwin (Sandwich, Mass.) was next for the Saints, completing the race in 74th place after a time of 13:48.9.
- Junior Emma Krantz (Manchester, N.H.) and senior Mia Rowell (Candia, N.H.) finished 85th and 86th, respectively, after times of 14:14.8 for Krantz and 14:15.0 for Rowell. The time for Rowell is a personal best in a 3.1K.
- Junior Kyle Antoine (Brockton, Mass.) and first-year Adam Von-Maszewski (Westborough, Mass.) finished side-by-side in the men's race, after completing their 5Ks in 23:36.6 and 23:37.7, respectively.
WINNING PERFORMANCES
- Northeastern University swept the Suffolk Short Course Classic in the team event with help from four of the top five finishes on the women's side while claiming all five top-five positions in the men's event.
- In the men's event, Huskies grad student Alexander Korczynski (Willimantic, Conn.) took first place after a time of 15:07.7 in the 5K.
- For the women's, NU junior Ava Duggan (Milton, Mass.) claimed victory after a 3.1K timed at 10:31.9.
