Bio

Bryan Mahoney joined the Emmanuel staff for the 2011-2012 season. He previously served as the first head coach of the Wheelock College men's and women's cross country program during the 2008 and 2009 seasons. In his second year with the Wildcats, Mahoney guided the women's team to a second-place finish in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC).

Prior to Wheelock, Mahoney served as an assistant indoor and outdoor track and field coach at Fairfield College Preparatory School in Connecticut and as a volunteer assistant cross country coach at his alma mater, Fairfield University.

As a student-athlete at Fairfield, Mahoney finished his career as one of the top cross country runners in school history. A three-time MVP selection and two-time team captain, he finished his collegiate career with two of the 20-fastest times ever run by a Fairfield runner. A Milton, Mass., native, Mahoney was a six-time state qualifier and three-time Bay State League All-Star, including conference champion in the 800-meter run his senior year.

Mahoney has been employed full time at Emmanuel College since 2006, serving as the Assistant Director of Marketing Communications. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Fairfield University in 2005 and a Master of Science from Emmanuel in 2009. He continues to run competitively and recently qualified for and ran the 2011 New York City Marathon.
