Emmanuel's Ryan Thomas (Wakefield, R.I.) qualified to race in the ECAC Championships with his time of 55.76 in the men's 400mH. Thomas' swift time earned the senior captain a spot on the podium, as he finished in 2nd place overall.
Sophomore Ian Chamenko (Beacon Falls, Conn.) continued to excel in the men's steeplechase, following up last week's program record-setting performance with another EC record time of 10:21.71. Chamenko's time was good enough for 5th place overall.
Chamenko teamed up with juniors Tom Tallo (Lincoln, R.I.), Corey Hebert (Acushnet, Mass.) and Craig Schoaf (Raynham, Mass.) for a 3rd place finish in the 4x800m relay. Their combined time of 8:43.66 qualified the team for the Division III New England Championships.
