Bruno raced to a 6th place finish in the men's 400 meter hurdle finals at the NCAA Division III Track & Field National Championships, held at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse.
Racing on the outside in lane nine, Bruno busted out of the blocks and held a sizable lead for three quarters of the race. The field made up the stagger in the final turn, but Bruno held on to top three of his eight competitors to take 6th place overall with a time of 52.43 and earn All-America honors.
The junior sensation had previously finished 8th out of the field of 20 competitors on Thursday evening in the NCAA preliminaries to advance to Saturday's finals, ranked 8th out of the advancing nine.
Bruno now makes history as Emmanuel's first-ever Track & Field All-American and fourth in any sport.
