Labossiere Scores Third GNAC Field Athlete of the Week Honors
WINTHROP, Mass. - Saints sophomore Pierre Paul Laossiere (Port-au-Prince, Haiti) had a strong showing at the Tufts Cupid Challenge this past weekend and has been voted the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the GNAC Office on Feb. 5. The GNAC Field Athlete of the Week nomination is Labossiere's third of the season, following the honors on Dec. 11, 2023, and Jan. 22, 2024.

The GNAC Field Athlete of the Week nomination is Labossiere's third of the season, following the honors on Dec. 11, 2023, and Jan. 22, 2024.
Labossiere placed seventh in the triple jump on Saturday after a distance of 12.07 meters (39' 7.25"), his top finish of the day. The second-year jumper added a high jump of 1.76 meters (5' 9.25") and a long jump of 5.66 meters (18' 7") in his three events at the Cupid Challenge.
Despite not setting a new PR in any event this weekend, Labossiere's rank on the performance list among GNAC athletes is first in the high jump, third in the triple jump, and seventh in the long jump.
Labossiere and the Saints take this weekend off in preparation for the GNAC Championship Meet on Feb. 18, hosted at Boston University. Events for the GNAC Indoor Championships are set to begin at 10:00 a.m.
