Labossiere's Strong Weekend Secures GNAC Field Athlete of the Week Honors
WINTHROP, Mass. – Saints sophomore Pierre Paul Labossiere (Port-au-Prince, Haiti) posted three top-eight finishes at the Branwen Smith-King Invitational, and with his performance, has earned the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week honors, as announced by the GNAC Offices on Jan. 22.
WINTHROP, Mass. – Saints sophomore Pierre Paul Labossiere (Port-au-Prince, Haiti) posted three top-eight finishes at the Branwen Smith-King Invitational, and with his performance, has earned the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week honors, as announced by the GNAC Offices on Jan. 22.
The sophomore sprinter and jumper earns his second GNAC Field Athlete of the Week honors, having previously won on the Dec. 11, 2023, edition of the GNAC Weekly Report.
Labossiere placed fifth in the triple jump, setting a PR in the event with a distance of 12.38 meters (40' 7.50"). He added a sixth-place mark in the high jump, clearing the bar at 1.85 meters (6' 0.75"). The second-year underclassman added one final PR in the long jump with a distance of 6.06 meters (19' 10.75"), good for eighth place.
On the performance list among other GNAC teams and athletes, Labossiere has the fifth-best long jump, the third-best triple jump, and the best high jump in the conference this indoor season.
