Saints Break Multiple Records at the USM Invite
The men’s and women’s indoor track teams of Emmanuel College were on the road for the University of Southern Maine’s Invite on Saturday, January 25th. The women’s squad was able to finish the day with 37-points, finishing in eighth place. The men’s team finished in ninth place collecting 18 points.

THE LEAD: The men's and women's indoor track teams of Emmanuel College were on the road for the University of Southern Maine's Invite on Saturday, January 25th. The women's squad was able to finish the day with 37-points, finishing in eighth place. The men's team finished in ninth place collecting 18 points.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- Junior Amanda Jordan (Stoneham, Mass.) continued to push the women's team with a record-breaking performance in the triple jump. Jordan finished the afternoon with an eight-place finish with a best 10.36 meter jump.
- Sophomore Kennedy Davignon's (Woodstock, Conn.) third collegiate meet came with a strong performance in the 400-meter final, finishing in ninth place with a time of 1:05.72.
- Jacquelyn Schneider (Weymouth, Mass.) continued her strong senior season with a second-place finish in the 600-meter run with a final time of 1:46.03.
- In two field events, Teague Tallo (Lincoln, R.I) was able to record personal bests at the USM Invite. Tallo's ninth place finish in the weight throw with a best 12.33 meters and 17th place finish in the shot put with a best throw of 9.59 meters solidified the afternoon.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- In his first collegiate indoor track and field season, freshman Alonzo Fluellen Jr. (Phenix City, Ala.) broke the school record in the shot put. The ninth-place finish was recorded with a best throw of 12.58 meters.
- The Hajj brothers had a good showing at the USM Invite. Kyle Hajj (Methuen, Mass.) came in eighth place in the mile run with a final time of 4:49.00. Trevor Hajj (Methuen, Mass.) also recorded a top-ten finish, his coming in the 600-meter run. Trevor finished the day in third place with a time of 1:33.27.
- Luke Elson (Ashaway, R.I) was able to close out the men's team with a tenth-place finish in the 400-meter dash. The sophomore had a great showing with a final time of 54.12.

- The Saints only have six days to practice before heading back on the road to Tufts University for the Branwen Smith-King Invitational on Friday, January 31st.
