Sitler & Bean Set Program Records at Inaugural EC Invitational
BOSTON, Mass. - Junior Aidan Sitler (Wethersfield, Conn.) and first year Griffin Bean (Cape Neddick, Maine) each set a program record to highlight an impressive opening day by the Emmanuel College Track & Field squad at the inaugural Emmanuel College Invitational.

THE LEAD: Junior Aidan Sitler (Wethersfield, Conn.) and first year Griffin Bean (Cape Neddick, Maine) each set a program record to highlight an impressive opening day by the Emmanuel College Track & Field squad at the inaugural Emmanuel College Invitational.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- Bean opened the day strong by setting the program record in the pole vault, clearing 3.40m (11'1.75") for a sixth-place finish in the event.
- Sitler's program record came later in the day in the triple jump event as the junior took third place overall with a jump of 13.29m (43'7.25"), which crushed the previous record held by Michael Thurnauer '08 who was atop the annals at 39'8.0" from a leap back on Feb. 12, 2005.
- Junior Kyle Hajj (Methuen, Mass.) enjoyed a strong indoor debut with the Saints with an eighth-place finish in the 800m event with a time of 2:05.16.
- First-year Hunter Noyes (White River Junction, Vt.) placed 12th in the 500m race, clocking in at 1:11.87.
- Rookie thrower Alonzo Fluellen Jr. (Phenix City, Ala.) also performed well in his collegiate debut, placing 15th in the weight throw (10.65m) and 25th in the shot put (10.72m)
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- Junior jumper Amanda Jordan (Stoneham, Mass.) recorded three top-10 finishes in her season-opener, posting a fourth-place finish in the high jump with a leap of 1.50m (4'11"), a seventh place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 10.10m (33'1.75") and an eighth place finish in the 500m event with a time of 1:25.62.
- Senior Carolyn Richardson (Kennebunk, Maine) also registered a top-10 finish in the long jump with an eighth-place mark of 4.78m (15'8.25").
- First year Molly Winship (Boxford, Mass.) enjoyed a fifth-place finish in the 1,000m race with a time of 3:20.91.
- Senior Jackie Schneider (Weymouth, Mass.) placed ninth in the 800m race, clocking in at 2:37.43 while first year Victoria Krzysztopik (Orange, Conn.) finished ninth in the 500m event (1:28.24).
UP NEXT
- The Saints are now idle until January 11, 2020 when they head to Brunswick, Maine to compete in the Bowdoin College Invitational.
