RECORDS FALL AT SCARLET AND WHITE INVITE
BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College Men’s and Women’s Track & Field Teams tore up the track at Boston University’s Scarlet & White Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Saints took down a pair of Emmanuel program records, turned in several championship qualifying performances and recorded numerous personal bests on the day.

The Saints took down a pair of Emmanuel program records, turned in several championship qualifying performances and recorded numerous personal bests on the day.
Two Emmanuel women took down program records in their individual events. Sophomore jumper Ashley Brooks (Danvers, Mass.) set a new EC record in the high jump, launching herself 5'3". Brooks' jump placed her 7th overall amongst competitors from all three NCAA divisions and qualified her for the ECAC Division III Championships this post-season.
Senior Martina Benassi (North Haven, Conn.) is now the new EC record holder for the women's indoor 800m, finishing in 2:27.70. Three other Emmanuel women turned in personal best performances in the same race, including: Chloe Egan (Burlington, Vt.) and Chloe Pangonis (Keene, N.H.), who both finished in 2:32.55, as well as Nicole Varca (Grafton, Mass.), crossing the line in 2:37 flat.
Junior sprinter Zoe Pierce-Dickens (Franklin, Vt.) continues to improve for the Saints, as she qualified for the New England Division III Championships with her 61.24 personal record in the women's 400m on Saturday. In the men's 400m, senior captain Adam Julien (New Orleans, La.) improved on his Division III New England qualifying time with his 49.89 finish.
Sophomore Micaela Fraccalossi (Plymouth, Mass.) sprinted to a new PR in the 60m, crossing the line in 8.41. Rookie sprinter Francisco Tavares (Boston, Mass.) raced to another personal best with his 23.15 time in the men's 200m race. Sophomore Ian Chamenko (Beacon Falls, Conn.) had another great weekend for the Saints, cruising to his PR in the men's Mile with a time of 4:45.57.
The Saints will be back in action again next Saturday, February 14th, when they compete in the MIT Invitational across the river in Cambridge, Mass.
