AS A FRESHMAN...Hewes had a standout rookie season, which included just one collegiate singles loss...posted an overall singles record of 13-1 with a 5-1 GNAC record in her No. 6 position...teamed up with Jenna Reid for a 6-3 mark in 3rd doubles...was named the GNAC Rookie of the Week on September 19th and October 17th and was named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll on both October 10th and October 24th this season...helped lead the Saints to a 13-3 overall record and a trip to the GNAC Semifinals.

BEFORE EMMANUEL...Hewes played four years of varsity tennis for Cape Elizabeth High School (Cape Elizabeth, Me.).
