RAMIREZ-TEJEDA EARNS NFCA NEW ENGLAND ALL-REGION HONORS

BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College junior outfielder Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda (Cambridge, Mass.) has been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-New England Region Softball Third Team, it was announced by the NFCA.

RAMIREZ-TEJEDA NAMED TO GOOGLE CLOUD ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT TEAM

BOSTON, Mass. - The 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Softball Teams have been released to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom and Emmanuel College junior outfielder Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda (Cambridge, Mass.) has been recognized on the All-District team for the second time this year, also earning Academic All-District honors in Women’s Basketball.

RAMIREZ-TEJEDA & KIESELBACK EARN MAJOR GNAC HONORS; SEVEN TABBED TO ALL-GNAC TEAM

BOSTON, Mass. – Seven members from the Emmanuel College softball program have been named to the 2019 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Softball All-Conference squad, as announced by the conference office earlier today. Junior outfielder Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda (Cambridge, Mass.) has been named the GNAC Player of the Year while senior pitcher Megan Kieselback (Wethersfield, Conn.) has been named the GNAC Pitcher of the Year. Both players also earned First Team All-Conference honors.

SHARON LIFTS USJ PAST SOFTBALL IN GNAC TOURNEY, 5-3

BRIGHTON, Mass. - Junior pitcher Amaria Sharon (Tolland, Conn.) smashed a three-run home run while hurling a complete-game in the circle to power the #2S University of Saint Joseph Blue Jays past #1N Emmanuel College, 5-3, Saturday morning in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Softball tournament at Daly Field. The win moves USJ on to the GNAC Championship series while the loss sends the Saints to the loser’s bracket final.

SHARKS WALK OFF WITH 3-2 WIN OVER SOFTBALL TO END GNAC TOURNEY RUN

BRIGHTON, Mass. - Sophomore Marissa Santoro (Franklin, Mass.) delivered an RBI single to right field in the ninth inning to give Simmons University a 3-2 walk-off win over Emmanuel College in the 2019 GNAC Softball Tournament loser’s bracket final. The Sharks advance to the GNAC Championship series against University of Saint Joseph (CT) while the Saints season comes to an end with an overall record of 25-14.

BOSTON, Mass. -Senior shortstop Audrey Esakoff (Ventura, Calif.) went 2-for-3 with two RBI to power the #1N Emmanuel College softball team past #3N Saint Joseph’s College (ME), 4-2, Thursday evening in Second Round action of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference softball tournament.

WINTHROP, Mass. – In the first year of divisional play for the sport of softball in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference, Fenway schools Emmanuel College and Simmons University have topped their respective divisions as the 2019 GNAC Tournament gets underway on Tuesday afternoon with two single-elimination contests.

SAINTS CLINCH #1 SEED IN GNAC NORTH WITH SWEEP OVER ANNA MARIA

PAXTON, Mass: The Emmanuel College softball team swept Anna Maria College Sunday morning with a 10-0 score in game one and 9-0 final in game two. With the wins, the Saints clinch the number 1 seed in the GNAC North Division to secure a home field for part of the action in next week's GNAC tournament.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - After posting an 8-2 victory in Game 1, the Emmanuel College softball team rallied for a 12-10 extra inning win in Game 2 to sweep Johnson & Wales University in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Scotts Miracle Gro Field.

BOSTON, Mass. - The Emmanuel College softball team registered a Great Northeast Athletic Conference sweep over Saint Joseph’s College (ME) on Tuesday evening at Roberto Clemente Field. The Saints picked up a 2-0 win in Game 1 before coming from behind to notch a 9-3 victory in Game 2.

BOSTON, Mass. - Emmanuel College senior pitcher Megan Kieselback (Wethersfield, Conn.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Pitcher of the Week and junior second baseman Kerry Sendrick (Medway, Mass.) has been named the GNAC Player of the Week, it was announced by the conference office on Monday, April 23.

BOSTON, Mass. - The Emmanuel College softball team split a Great Northeast Athletic Conference twinbill with visiting Suffolk University Thursday evening by taking Game 1, 5-3, before falling in Game 2, 14-6, at Roberto Clemente Field.

SOFTBALL SWEEPS REGIS TO STAY PERFECT IN GNAC PLAY

WESTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College softball team posted a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference victories over host Regis College on Wednesday evening at the Regis Softball Field, The Saints took game 1, 7-3 before exploding for an 18-1 win in game 2.

SOFTBALL USES LONG BALL TO BURY NORWICH IN GNAC SWEEP

NORTHFIELD, Vt.  – The Emmanuel College softball team took advantage of the long-ball on Sunday in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) doubleheader sweep over Norwich University on Sabine Field at Haynes Family Stadium. Emmanuel (15-11, 6-0 GNAC) run-ruled Norwich (8-10, 2-4 GNAC) in both games, winning Game 1 by a score of 13-4 in six innings and Game 2 by a 10-2 total in five innings.

SOFTBALL DROPS TWO IN NON-CONFERENCE ACTION TO WHEATON

NORTON, Mass. - The Emmanuel College softball team dropped a pair of one-run non-conference decisions to Wheaton College on Tuesday afternoon in Norton, Mass. The Saints fell in Game 1 by a 7-6 score to snap their program-best nine-game winning streak before falling to the Lyons in Game 2, 1-0, in a six-inning game shortened by darkness.
