Bio

Greg Visinho joins the Emmanuel College staff as the Head Women's Soccer Coach, taking over the program in 2018.

Visinho enjoyed a strong first season with Emmanuel, coaching the Saints to 14 wins and landing five players on the GNAC All-Conference first team and one on the All-Region squad. His 2018 group led the GNAC in goals against average (0.79) and set the program record for shutouts in a season (10). He also coached the program's first-ever CoSIDA Academic All-American.

Prior to Emmanuel, Visinho served as the Associate Head Coach for the University of Massachusetts Boston Women's Soccer program for 10 seasons where his primary duties with the Beacons included assisting with team and individual coaching on the field, video editing responsibilities and serving as the general recruiting coordinator.

While at UMB, Visinho played a major part in helping the staff lead the Beacons to its most successful seasons in program history including the programs first berth into the NCAA tournament, three Little East Conference regular season championships, three ECAC Tournament berths and a total of nine LEC tournament appearances. In his tenure at UMass Boston, Visinho helped numerous players earn All-Conference and All-Region accolades and the program's first All-American. During his time on the harbor campus, Visinho helped guide the Beacons to six consecutive winning seasons ('09-'14) and an 86-31-13 mark (.711 winning percentage) during that stretch.

Prior to his arrival at UMass Boston, he was the head girl's soccer coach at Silver Lake Regional High School for five years, where he led the Lakers to the first and only Patriot League title in school history in 2006.

Visinho has also been a long time coach with the Liverpool FC International Academy in Massachusetts.  He coaches multiple Elite and NPL girl's teams, and serves as a college recruitment advisor for the club.

Visinho's coaching experience extends to the professional ranks as well.  From 2005-07 he was a member of the Bay State Select franchise's staff of the Women's Professional Soccer League (WPSL). Here he mentored some of the best female players in the world including several current NWSL players, and former Brazilian National Team star Daniella.

He has also coached for several premier clubs in Massachusetts over the last 15 years including the Taunton Eagles, South Shore Select and Crusaders United. In addition he serves as a Camp Director for several camps throughout the Bay State.

Visinho currently has his NSCAA Premier and NSCAA Goalkeeping Level 2 diplomas as well as licensed from the USSF and Coerver Coaching.
