Crugnale Named Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week
BOSTON, Mass. - Women's Soccer first year goalkeeper Alyssa Crugnale (Middleton, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. This marks the second time this season Crugnale has been honored by the conference office as she earned GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week honors on September 23.

Crugnale picked up her second win of the season by posting five saves over 90 minutes of work for the shutout victory over Suffolk University on Saturday afternoon. It marked just the second time this season the Rams were held scoreless as the Middleton, Mass. native made several key saves in the second half to preserve the clean sheet.
On the year, the freshman has appeared in four contests logging 207 minutes of action while recording a 0.87 goals against average and an .856 save percentage.
The Saints are currently 5-6 on the season and 4-1 in GNAC play. EC returns to action on Tuesday, October 8 when they travel to Brighton, Mass. to take on Fenway neighbor Simmons University at 4:00 PM on Daly Field.
