Bio

Liz Goddard joined the Emmanuel coaching staff in the Fall of 2011 as the Assistant Coach for the Saints Women's Lacrosse Program. Coach Goddard was an Assistant Coach for the Saints for two seasons, helping to lead EC to a GNAC Tournament appearance in 2013. She was promoted to Head Coach prior to the start of the 2014 campaign and took over the helm of the young program in its fourth varsity season.

Coach Goddard's tenure with the Saints began with three straight winning seasons including a GNAC Championship in 2014 and two GNAC Semifinal berths.

Goddard's first season as a head coach was an impressive one, as she led Emmanuel to its first-ever GNAC Championship and to an NCAA Tournament appearance.  Goddard and the Saints cruised through regular season GNAC competition, boasting an undefeated 10-0 mark, before taking all three GNAC play-off wins en route to the program's inaugural national tournament appearance.  Under Goddard's direction, the Saints finished the year with an overall record of 15-3 and Goddard was voted the 2014 GNAC Coach of the Year.

Over six seasons, she has landed 25 players on the GNAC All-Conference squad including the 2019 Rookie of the Year, 2017 GNAC Defensive Player of the year, the 2016 GNAC Offensive Player of the Year while also coaching two individuals to All-ECAC honors.

In 2010, Goddard volunteered as an Assistant Coach at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School, helping the team reach the Division 1 North Semi-Finals. Goddard has also coached several youth teams over the years and started a youth lacrosse camp as a fundraiser while in high school.

As a player, Goddard was a four-year starter in the midfield at Bentley University. She captained the team as a senior and is among the top five all-time leaders in goals and assists for the Falcons. Goddard helped her team reach the Northeast-10 Championship as a junior and played for the North in the Division II Senior All-Star game. She is also the second all-time leader in draw controls for the Falcons. While at Bentley, Goddard took part in a semester abroad in Ireland and played for the Dublin lacrosse team.

Prior to her career at Bentley, Goddard was a four-year letter winner and a two-year captain at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School. She also played for the Lower New England team at the National Tournament.

Goddard earned her Bachelor's Degree in Corporate Finance and Accounting from Bentley University in 2008 and currently works at Fidelity Investments.
