Bio

Coach Maloney joined the athletic staff at Emmanuel in the winter of 2014 as an Assistant Coach for the Women’s Lacrosse program, serving in the role for five seasons before being elevated to Head Coach prior to the start of the 2020 campaign. She is the third Head Coach in program history.

Under Maloney's guidance, her 2023 squad posted 14 wins for the second highest win total in program history while matching the program record for GNAC victories with 10. The Saints set the program single-season team records for goals (314), groundballs (428), draw controls (307), and caused turnovers (272).

She guided the Saints to a 10-win campaign in 2022, marking the first double-digit win total the program has seen since 2016. For the second straight season, EC had a major GNAC Award winner under Maloney's guidance with the 2022 GNAC Defensive Player of the Year.

Maloney was named the 2021 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Coach of the Year after leading the Saints to a perfect 7-0 record during regular-season play to earn the No. 1 spot in the New England Regional Rankings. The Saints finished the year with an 8-1 mark and Maloney coached up a program-record eight All-Conference selections including the 2021 GNAC Goalkeeper and Rookie of the Year.

On February 29, 2020, Maloney posted a 17-9 victory over Wentworth in her collegiate Head Coaching debut before the 2020 campaign was cancelled due to the CoVID-19 pandemic, ending her first season in charge with a perfect 1-0 slate.

Prior to joining the EC staff, Maloney served as an Assistant Coach at her alma mater, Bentley University, for four years (2008, 2009, 2012, 2013).

While at Bentley, Maloney helped lead the Falcons to three appearances in the Northeast-10 Conference play-offs.  She was involved in all aspects of coaching a competitive Division II program, including direction, administration, organization and execution of practices, as well as recruitment and scouting.

Maloney received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Bentley in 2007.  The Dean’s list student was a four-year starter on the defensive line for the Falcons Women’s Lacrosse Team and captained the squad as a senior.  A standout on the field, Maloney received All-Northeast-10 honors as both a junior and a senior and was selected to the ECAC Division II New England All-Star Team.

At Emmanuel, Maloney assisted one of her former Bentley teammates in Head Coach Liz Goddard from 2014 through 2019. Maloney and Goddard played collegiate lacrosse together for the Falcons for three seasons, leading Bentley to the Northeast-10 Conference championship game in 2007.
