Rice Named GNAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week

Rice had previously appeared on the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll six times over her Emmanuel career.

Rice opened the 2020 campaign with a seven-point outing in Emmanuel's 17-9 victory over Wentworth. The senior captain scored a game-high five goals including the game-winner while adding two assists. The Connecticut native also grabbed three groundballs and caused three turnovers in the EC victory to help the Saints to a 1-0 start for the first time since 2016.
Last season, Rice finished the year with 71 points on 44 goals and 27 assists and was named to the GNAC All-Conference Third team.
Over her Emmanuel career, Rice has compiled 141 points to rank fifth all-time with 94 goals to rank fourth and 47 assists to rank fifth. She also has 99 career draw control wins to rank sixth in program history.
The Saints are idle until Thursday, March 12 when they travel to University of Southern Maine for a non-conference tilt scheduled for a 5:00 PM start.
