BOSTON, Mass. - The 2020 Emmanuel College Athletic Department Senior Awards have been announced, honoring a total of 19 student-athletes.

Senior Spotlight Series - Allison Hutchings - Women's Lacrosse
With the sudden end to the 2020 spring seasons due to the CoVID19 epidemic, the Emmanuel College Athletic Department wanted to take a moment to recognize members of the class of 2020 during the final semester of their senior season at Emmanuel College. The Senior Spotlight Series was a chance for our community as Saints to give each of these individuals the notoriety and recognition they all deserve while getting a little behind the scenes glimpse into their lives outside the uniform.

Participation in this series was optional and we're grateful to have heard from so many wonderful representatives from our senior class. While their careers at Emmanuel may be coming to a close, their lives as Saints are just beginning.

Emmanuel Follows GNAC Protocol; Cancels Springs Athletic Seasons
BOSTON, Mass.. – Following the NCAA announcement to cancel all remaining winter and spring championships, and recognizing the spread and ongoing threat of COVID-19, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Presidents' Council voted unanimously to make the difficult decision to cancel all spring competition, practices, and championships for the remainder of the 2019-20 academic year.

Rice Named GNAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week
BOSTON, Mass. - Emmanuel College senior attack Kylie Rice (Bethlehem, Conn.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week for the first time in her career, announced by the conference office on Monday, March 2. Rice had previously appeared on the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll six times over her Emmanuel career.

Women's Lacrosse Pulls Away in Season-Opener vs. Wentworth, 17-9
Boston, Mass. – The Emmanuel women's lacrosse team pulled away late in the first half and never looked back en route to a 17-9 win over Wentworth Institute of Technology on Saturday morning.

Goddard Steps Down; Maloney Elevated to Women’s Lacrosse Head Coach
Boston, Mass. – Following eight years with the program and six as Head Coach of the Emmanuel College Women’s Lacrosse team, Liz Goddard has announced her decision to step away from the program following the conclusion of the 2019 non-traditional playing season. With the move, Emmanuel College Director of Athletics and Recreation Brendan McWilliams is pleased to announce the appointment of Liz Maloney to the Head Coaching position after Maloney served as Goddard’s first assistant for five of her years at the helm.
