Bio

Jason Luisi is in his 7th season as an assistant coach for the women's basketball team. Prior to joining the Saints' coaching staff, he served in numerous coaching roles, including positions at Suffolk University as assistant to the men's basketball team and at Dorchester High School as both the head girls varsity coach and the junior varsity boys coach.

Jason graduated from Suffolk University in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in business management. As a player at Suffolk, Jason was a four-year starter, and the team's leading scorer all four years. He is the school's second all-time leading scorer (1869 points), was a two-time first team All-GNAC, and leads Suffolk in career free throw percentage. In his senior year he led the nation in free throw shooting percentage. During his junior year he paced Suffolk to the ECAC Tournament and in his senior year he captained the GNAC regular season title and Conference Tournament Champions, where he was named GNAC tournament MVP, and Suffolk earned an NCAA tournament bid.

Jason grew up in Hyde Park, and currently lives in West Roxbury. He went to high school at Catholic Memorial, where he was named Catholic Conference MVP, Herald All-Scholastic, and made USA All-America team honor roll during his senior season.

Jason currently works as an adapted physical education teacher in the City of Boston, where he has worked since graduating from Suffolk as a special education teacher. He is currently working on his master's degree in special education from UMass Boston.
