Mike Evanovich joined the Emmanuel athletic staff prior to the start of the 2017-18 campaign as a volunteer assistant coach.

Evanovich started his collegiate basketball career at D-I Iowa State before transferring to play his final three seasons at D-I Fairfield University. Over his career, the power forward appeared in 104 contests and started 25 games with the Stags. While at Fairfield, he scored 727 points over three seasons while shooting .423 from the field

After graduating from Fairfield in 2010 with a BA in Communications, he went on to get a Masters from Providence College where he served as a Men's Basketball GA for the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons.

Evanovich is now a full-time educator and is married to former Emmanuel College women's basketball alumna Maura [Mooney] Evanovich '08.
