INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Woman of the Year Selection Committee has announced the Top 30 honorees for the 2020 NCAA Woman of the Year Award and Emmanuel College graduate Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda ’20 is among the Top 30 honorees.

Ramirez-Tejeda Thrilled to Win 2020 GNAC Co-Woman of the Year

This past week, Assistant Athletic Director Dan Campagna, Head Women's Basketball Coach Andy Yosinoff, and Head Softball Coach Olivia Berry surprised Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda '20 with the 2020 GNAC Co-Woman of the Year honor. The four of them shared their fondest memories from the past three years together. It marks just the second time in Emmanuel College Athletics history that an EC student-athlete has been selected for the conference's highest honor. Ramirez-Tejeda Featured in Boston Globe

A first-generation American who is the first member of her family to graduate from college, the South Boston resident was a Division 3 All-American on the basketball court at Emmanuel College this winter as a senior. An opportunity to play professionally in Ireland is now on hold because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College senior guard Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda (Cambridge, Mass.) has been named a D3hoops.com All-American for her performance on the court during the 2019-20 NCAA Division III women’s basketball season, it was announced on the Hoopsville show produced by the D3hoops.com team on Tuesday, March 24.

BOSTON, Mass. – The honors continue to roll in for Emmanuel College guard Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda (Cambridge, Mass.) as the senior was recognized by CoSIDA, the WBCA and D3hoops.com for three separate accolades. Ramirez-Tejeda was tabbed a College Sports Information Director's of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-American, earning First Team honors after landing on the Second Team last season.

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Emmanuel College women's basketball team is set to take on New York University (NYU) in the opening round of the 2020 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament at Morrell Gymnasium on the Bowdoin College campus this Friday at 5:00 PM. The Saints bring a 21-7 overall record to the contest while the Violets don a 20-5 mark heading into the tournament.

Ramirez-Tejeda Named GNAC Player of the Year; Weaver Tabbed GNAC Defensive Player of the Year

BOSTON, Mass. – Seniors Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda (Cambridge, Mass.) and Kayla Weaver (West Haven, Conn.) have been selected to the 2019-20 GNAC Women's Basketball All-Conference team while also earning two major honors, it was announced Monday morning by the conference office. Ramirez-Tejeda earns GNAC Player of the Year honors and makes her third consecutive appearance on the All-Conference First Team while Weaver was also voted the GNAC Defensive Player of the Year to go along with Third Team honors for the second straight season.

BOSTON, Mass. - The Emmanuel College women’s basketball topped Saint Joseph’s College (ME), 67-50, Saturday afternoon in the 2020 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Finals to repeat as GNAC Champions and capture the program’s 17th GNAC crown.

GNAC Championship Preview: #1 Saints Look to Repeat over #2 Monks

BOSTON, Mass. – Top-seeded Emmanuel College is set to host No. 2 Saint Joseph’s College (ME) in the 2020 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Finals on Saturday, February 29 at 1:00 PM on the Andy Yosinoff Court. The Saints bring an overall record of 20-7 into the contest after posting a 9-2 mark in GNAC play to earn the No. 1 seed in the tourney. The Monks stand at 19-8 overall and also finished with a 9-2 conference mark to secure the second seed.
