BOSTON, Mass. - Emmanuel College's women’s basketball team remains unbeaten in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play, after a 70-55 victory over the AMCats of Anna Maria College. Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda (Cambridge, Mass.) led the way with her twelfth double-double of the year with 23 points and 18 rebounds.
The EC women’s basketball team recorded their second Great Northeast Athletic Conference victory on Wednesday, January 15th over the University of Saint Joseph’s Blue Jays, led by a game-high 21 points by Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda (Cambridge, Mass.) and 11 points by freshman Emma Fenton (Monument Beach, Mass.), 82-32.

From the Emmanuel College women's basketball program, 2010 graduate Iman (Davis) Barbosa was named the 2008 and 2009 GNAC Women's Basketball Player of the Year as a sophomore and junior. Barbosa ended her career as Emmanuel's all-time leading scorer with 1,732 points and finished her career among the program leaders in almost every statistical category, registering 757 rebounds, 410 assists and 393 steals. Per game, she averaged 15.2 points 6.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 3.5 steals over 114 games.
Barbosa, a native of Toms Rivier, N.J., native helped Emmanuel capture the GNAC Women's Basketball crown every season she suited up for the Saints in one of the most dominant runs in conference history. Her squads combined to post an overall record of 95-23 (.805 winning percentage) while at Emmanuel including a gaudy 43-4 record in GNAC play.
