WINGARD TABBED TO ECAC MEN'S VOLLEYBALL FIRST TEAM
DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its 2016 Division III Men’s Volleyball All-ECAC selections and major award winners. Emmanuel College senior outside hitter Barrett Wingard (York, Pa.) has been named to the ECAC Men’s Volleyball First Team.

WINGARD NAMED GNAC OFFENSIVE POTY, GALLEGOS THIRD TEAM ALL-GNAC
WINTHROP, Mass. – Emmanuel College senior outside hitter Barrett Wingard has been named the 2016 GNAC Men’s Volleyball Offensive Player of the Year, the conference office announced on Monday morning along with its annual All-Conference Teams. Wingard led the GNAC in kills (430) and kills per set (3.98) and ranked ninth with a .335 hitting percentage for the Saints.

WENTWORTH RALLIES PAST MEN'S VOLLEYBALL IN GNAC SEMIFINALS, 3-2
BOSTON, Mass. – After trailing two sets to none, the Wentworth Institute of Technology men’s volleyball team rallied for a 3-2 victory over Emmanuel to earn its first trip to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference championship game in program history.

ENGLISH PROPELS MEN’S VOLLEYBALL PAST JWU IN GNAC QUARTERFINALS, 3-1
BOSTON, Mass. – Freshman outside hitter Erik English (Simi Valley, Calif.) registered a season-high 19 kills to propel No. 4 Emmanuel College past No. 5 Johnson & Wales University, 3-1 (17-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-18), Tuesday evening in the quarterfinals of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference men’s volleyball tournament. The Saints improve to 19-11 on the year while the loss ends the Wildcats 2016 campaign with a 15-16 overall record. EC advances to the GNAC semifinals and will head to No. 1 Wentworth Institute of Technology on Thursday evening.

SAINTS CLINCH FOUR SEED IN GNAC TOURNAMENT WITH SENIOR DAY SPLIT
BOSTON, Mass. - The Emmanuel College men's volleyball team split the final two matches of the regular season in a tri-match on Saturday at the Emmanuel College Gymnasium. The Saints defeated Johnson & Wales, 3-1 (22-25, 25-22, 30-28, 25-16), and were defeated by Lasell, 3-1 (25-21, 25-23, 23-25, 25-16). The Lasers swept the Wildcats in the middle match (25-14, 29-27, 25-23).

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS GNAC TRI-MATCH OVER EMERSON & ALBERTUS MAGNUS
BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College men’s volleyball team stayed hot on Saturday afternoon by picking up a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference wins against Emerson College and Albertus Magnus College at Brown Plofker Gym. The Saints downed the Falcons 3-1 (25-14, 25-19, 22-25, 25-9) before sweeping the host Lions 3-0 (25-15, 25-14, 25-18). Emmanuel improved to 14-9 overall, 4-5 in the GNAC and has now won seven of eight matches. Emerson falls to 8-11 and 4-5 in the GNAC while the Falcons drop to 5-9 and 0-7 in GNAC play.

WINGARD POWERS MEN'S VOLLEYBALL PAST WENTWORTH, 3-2
BOSTON, Mass. – Senior outside hitter Barrett Wingard (York, Pa.) collected a career-high 26 kills to lift the Emmanuel College men’s volleyball team past Wentworth Institute of Technology, 3-2 (25-20, 20-25, 19-25, 27-25, 15-12). The Saints erased a 2-1 deficit to come-from-behind to avenge an earlier season defeat to the Leopards and improve to 12-9 overall and 2-5 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action while WIT falls to 14-8 and 6-2 in the GNAC.

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO RIVIER, 3-1
(Nashua, N.H.) The Rivier University Men's Volleyball team returned from their spring break with an important Great Northeast Athletic Conference victory this evening over visiting Emmanuel College in four sets at the Muldoon Gymnasium. The Raiders, playing in their first contest in 10 days, improve to 13-9 overall and even their conference record at 3-3. Emmanuel, meanwhile, falls to 11-9 overall, 1-5 in the GNAC.

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL POSTS PERFECT 4-0 RECORD AT JWU INVITATIONAL
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Emmanuel College men’s volleyball team posted two more wins during the second day of play at the Johnson & Wales University Invitational, posting a pair of 3-0 wins over Lesley University (25-10, 25-20, 25-13) and New Jersey City (25-15, 25-19, 25-16). The Saints finished the Invitational with a 4-0 and stand at 11-8 on the year.
