Erskine Named GNAC Rookie of the Week for Third Time
WINTRHOP, Mass. – Emmanuel College sophomore Alec Erskine (Coventry, Conn.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. This marks the third time this season Erskine has earned the honor, also being tabbed the GNAC Rookie of the Week back on September 9 and September 30.

This marks the third time this season Erskine has earned the honor, also being tabbed the GNAC Rookie of the Week back on September 9 and September 30.
The Coventry, Conn. native played a big part in the Saints 1-0-1 week, collecting five points on two goals and one assist. The sophomore collected three points with a goal and assist in a 4-0 shutout win over Anna Maria and followed it up with the Saints lone goal in a 1-1 draw vs. USJ. His goal vs the AMCats was the game-winner, his sixth of the year which leads the GNAC and is an Emmanuel single-season record while his goal vs. the Blue Jays was his 11th of the season, tying him for the EC single-season record.
Erskine currently leads Emmanuel in goals (11) and points (26) while ranking tied for fourth in the GNAC in goals and fifth overall in the conference in points.
The Saints are currently 8-7-1 on the year and 5-4-1 in GNAC play. EC returns to action on Wednesday, October 30 when they face off against Colby-Sawyer College at 3:00 PM.
