How It Happened:
Clark wasted little time getting on the board as Andrew Myhre (Middlebury, Vt.) found the back of the net less than three minutes into the contest.
After the Saints went in front, 2-1 after the first, Brandon King (Eastham, Mass.) opened up the second period with his team-leading tenth goal of the year. Less than a minute later, Lucas Petricone-Berg (Nyack, N.Y.) got in on the act, pushing the Cougars to a 3-2 lead.
Tied 3-3 at the half, Clark scored three straight goals in the third quarter as Isaac Bass (Amherst, Mass.), Darius Jagminas (East Greenwich, R.I.) and Jack Goracy (West Islip, N.Y.) all scored in a less than four minute span, giving the Scarlet and White a comfortable, 6-3 advantage.
Emmanuel wouldn't go away, however, and when Steve Gervasio snuck one past Clark netminder Jacob Reiner (Southington, Conn.), suddenly the Saints had scored two goals and were within one.
Bass notched his second tally of the night before the third period ended and then Chris Rasco (Huntington, N.Y.) found Nick Johnson (Amherst, Mass.) for his first of the year on the man-up advantage.
The Saints stayed within striking distance as both Sean Reilly and Sam Ward trimmed the Cougar lead to 8-7 late in the fourth quarter.
Clark put the game away when Jagminas fired a rocket that whizzed past Emmanuel goalie Austin Rosenberg. Will Mandracchia (Melrose, Mass.) then put the finishing touches on the victory with an unassisted tally with 3:24 to play.
