Bio

Coach Stephens joined the Emmanuel College men's basketball staff for the 2018-19 season following a decorated collegiate and semi-professional hoops career.

Stephens completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth where he was a standout student-athlete. He was named to the Little East Conference All Rookie Team as well as the LEC Rookie of the Year in 2008 while also being named to the Dean's List. Stephens went on to earn LEC Second Team honors in 2009 and LEC First Team honors in 2010 & 2011. He served as a team captain his junior and senior seasons when he also was recognized regionally by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) as a D-III All-Northeast Second Team player in 2010 and a D-III NABC All-Star in 2011. Stephens was also tabbed to the D3Hoops.com All-Northeast Region Team his senior campaign at UMass Dartmouth where he graduated ranked 10th all-time in scoring with 1,639 points.

Following college, Stephens went on to play semi-pro ball for several years. He played for the Orlando Venmo of the International Basketball League (IBL) as well as the Providence Sky Chiefs of the American Basketball Association (ABA) through the 2015 season.

Stephens served as the Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at The Fessenden School in Newton, Mass. from 2015-17 while also coaching AAU basketball for Game Time Training. He also owns and operates Stephens Skill Academy where he trains players in a one-on-one setting.

Stephens currently resides in Dorchester, Mass.
