SAINTS WELL REPRESENTED ON 2018-19 GNAC ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE SQUAD
WINTHROP, Mass. – Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Commissioner Joe Walsh is pleased to announce the 2018-19 Academic All-Conference Teams, as 1,030 student-athletes have garnered recognition this year. In order to be eligible, a student must have a 3.25 cumulative grade point average during the academic year and have reached second-year academic status.

FITZPATRICK NAMED GNAC WOMEN'S TRACK ROOKIE OF THE YEAR
WINTHROP, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference announced its 2019 outdoor track & field major award winners on Monday afternoon, as Emmanuel College freshman Hannah Fitzpatrick (Revere, Mass.) was named the GNAC Women's Track Rookie of the Year. Suffolk University led all teams taking home four individual winners and championship host Regis College claimed three honors.

OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD COMPETES AT GNAC CHAMPIONSHIP
WESTON, MASS. - The Emmanuel College men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams competed in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship on April 27th and 28th, where the women finished in second place only twelve points behind the winner Regis College, while the men finished in fourth place.

CAMBRIDGE, MASS. - The Emmanuel College men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams traveled across the Charles on Saturday, April 20th for the Sean Collier Invitational, where multiple athletes recorded personal records.

BLACKMER BREAKS HER OWN SCHOOL RECORD IN THE HAMMER THROW
NORTHAMPTON, MASS. - Freshman field athlete Caileigh Blackmer (Warwick, R.I.) finished in first place in the hammer throw to break her own school record, leading the Saints to a great day of competition at the Carla Coffey Track & Field Invitational at Smith College on Saturday, April 6th.

TRACK AND FIELD HAS STRONG SHOWING AT TUFTS SNOWFLAKE CLASSIC
The Emmanuel outdoor track and field team traveled to cross-town host Tufts University for the second meet of the season and continued to show improvements across the board with a variety of personal records for the Saints on Saturday, March 30th.

BLACKMER BREAKS SCHOOL RECORD TO OPEN OUTDOOR SEASON
Freshman field athlete Caileigh Blackmer (Warwick, R.I.) finished in sixth place in the hammer throw to record a new school record, leading the Saints in the first outdoor track meet at Wesleyan University on Saturday, March 23rd in Middletown, Conn.

POTTER NAMED XC/TF HEAD COACH & FITNESS/NUTRITION ADVISOR
BOSTON, Mass. – Following a national search, the Emmanuel College Athletic Department is pleased to announce the appointment of Reava Potter as the Head Cross Country/Track & Field Coach and Fitness & Nutrition Advisor. Potter becomes just the second head coach in the program's history and will become the program’s first full-time Head Coach.
