BERRY NAMED HEAD SOFTBALL COACH AT EMMANUEL
BOSTON, Mass. – Following a national search, the Emmanuel College Athletic Department is pleased to announce the hire of Olivia Berry as the Head Softball Coach. Berry becomes the 13th head coach since the program began competitive play at the NCAA level in 1993 and takes over the role from Kelsea Cheney who stepped down earlier this summer after serving in the position for the 2017 season.

SKEY & SHEEHAN PARTICIPATE IN BEYOND SPORTS SOFTBALL TRIP TO SOUTH AFRICA
BOSTON, Mass. - Sophomores Ashley Skey (Brookline, N.H.) and Casey Sheehan (Medway, Mass.) traveled to Cape Town, South Africa from June 5th- 17th for Beyond Sports’ Second Annual South Africa Softball Tour.

SOFTBALL LANDS FOUR ON 2017 GNAC ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM
BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College softball team was well represented on the 2017 Great Northeast Athletic Conference All-Conference team with four players selected in total. Senior pitcher Jill Kilcoyne (Worcester, Mass.) earned Second Team and All-Sportsmanship Team honors while fellow senior Susie Kieselback (Wethersfield, Conn.) along with sophomores Casey Sheehan (Medway, Mass.) and Ashley Skey (Brookline, N.H.) earned Third Team accolades.

NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Emmanuel College softball team begins its quest for its first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament title on Tuesday afternoon when it travels to Norwich University for a 3:30 p.m. playoff contest on the NU Softball Field.

ALBERTUS MAGNUS SWEEPS KEY GNAC SOFTBALL SHOWDOWN
BOSTON, Mass. – The Albertus Magnus softball squad picked up a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference wins Saturday afternoon at Roberto Clemente Field over host Emmanuel College in a key GNAC showdown. The Falcons posted a 5-1 win in Game 1 before coming from behind in Game 2 for a 6-5 victory. AMC improves to 26-12 on the year and 14-6 in GNAC play while the Saints drop four in a row to close the regular season and fall to 15-19 and 12-10 in the GNAC.

MONKS TAKE TWO FROM SOFTBALL IN GNAC SHOWDOWN
STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph’s College (16-14, 12-4 GNAC) swept a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) softball doubleheader with Emmanuel College (15-17, 12-8 GNAC) at Richard W. Bailey Field on Thursday evening. The Monks opened with a 2-1 triumph in a 10-inning opener and closed out the two-game set with a 6-1 win in the nightcap.

SAINTS SPLIT WITH BLUE JAYS UNDER THE LIGHTS
BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College and University of Saint Joseph softball teams played to a Great Northeast Athletic Conference twinbill split Wednesday evening under the Roberto Clemente Field lights. The Blue Jays (19-12, 12-5 GNAC) took game one in a pitcher’s duel, 2-0, before the Saints (15-15, 12-6 GNAC) rebounded for an 8-0 win in five innings in game two.

KILCOYNE NAMED GNAC PITCHER OF THE WEEK FOR SECOND STRAIGHT WEEK
BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College senior pitcher Jill Kilcoyne (Worcester, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Pitcher of the Week, it was announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. This marks the fifth time during Kilcoyne's career that she's been named GNAC Pitcher of the Week and the second week in a row she’s earned the honor.

WILDCATS TAKE TWO ONE-RUN GAMES OVER SOFTBALL
PROVIDENCE, RI – After suffering its first conference loss of the year on Saturday, the Johnson & Wales University softball team got back to its winning ways on Sunday. The Wildcats won a pair of one-run games as they beat Emmanuel, 5-4, in the opener then took the nightcap, 2-1.

SOFTBALL SETTLES FOR SPLIT AT NORWICH
NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Norwich University softball team split another Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) doubleheader with Emmanuel College on Saturday afternoon at the NU Softball Field. Norwich (8-17-1, 8-8 GNAC) split a GNAC series for the sixth time out of eight twinbills this season after falling 7-0 in Game 1, before coming back for a 6-2 win in the second game.

SOFTBALL TAKES TWO OVER ANNA MARIA IN GNAC TWINBILL
PAXTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College softball team posted a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference wins Wednesday afternoon over Anna Maria College, collecting an 8-0 win in Game 1 followed by an 8-3 win in Game 2. The Saints improve to 13-11 on the year and 10-2 in GNAC play and have are currently on a seven-game winning streak while the loss drops the AMCats to 4-20 and 2-12.

KILCOYNE NAMED GNAC PITCHER OF THE WEEK
BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College senior pitcher Jill Kilcoyne (Worcester, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Pitcher of the Week, it was announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. This marks the fourth time during Kilcoyne's career that she's been named GNAC Pitcher of the Week, earning the honor once every year of her collegiate career.

SAINTS SWEEP LASERS BEHIND KILCOYNE NO-HITTER
BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College senior pitcher Jill Kilcoyne (Worcester, Mass.) allowed no earned runs in eight innings of work over for a pair of wins including a Game 1 five-inning no-hitter to propel Emmanuel to a Great Northeast Athletic Conference sweep over Lasell College Saturday afternoon at Roberto Clemente Field. Behind Kilcoyne the Saints shutout the Lasers 8-0 in Game 1 before posting a 10-2 win in Game 2. EC improves to 11-11 overall and 8-2 in GNAC play while the Lasers fall to 4-20 and 0-10.

EMMANUEL SOFTBALL SWEEPS RIVIER
BOSTON, Mass. - The Emmanuel College Softball team took a pair of Great Northeast Conference wins off familiar foe Rivier University Thursday evening at Roberto Clemente Field. The Saints won Game 1 9-1 and Game 2 10-2, both games wrapped up in five innings. Emmanuel now stands 9-11 and 6-2 in GNAC play while Rivier drops to 8-14 and 2-8.

SAINTS SALVAGE SOFTBALL SPLIT WITH SUFFOLK
BOSTON, Mass. – For the second time in as many days, the Emmanuel College softball team salvaged a Great Northeast Athletic Conference doubleheader split Sunday afternoon at Roberto Clemente Field. The Saints dropped game one to Suffolk University, 8-5, before coming from behind to win game two in walk-off fashion with a 2-1 win. Emmanuel now stands at 7-11 overall and 4-2 in GNAC play while the Rams move to 7-11 and 1-3.
