Crugnale Named Women's Soccer Goalkeeper on the Week
BOSTON, Mass. - Women's Soccer first year goalkeeper Alyssa Crugnale (Middleton, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Week, it was announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. This marks the first GNAC Weekly honor this season for the Saints and the first Goalkeeper of the Week recognition for the program since Alexis Gawron earned the honor last season on October 29.

Crugnale picked up a victory in her first collegiate start, posting a 1.00 goals against average over 90 minutes of work to help Emmanuel pick up a 4-1 GNAC win over Norwich last Saturday. The Middleton, Mass. native collected four saves in the victory including a pair of diving saves from close range to lift EC to its first conference victory of the campaign.
On the year, the freshman has appeared in three contests logging 117 minutes of action while recording a 1.54 goals against average and a .778 save percentage.
The Saints are currently 2-5 on the season and return to action on Wednesday, September 25 when they host defending GNAC Champion Saint Joseph's College (ME) for a 7:00 PM tilt at Roberto Clemente Field.
