Deschenes Closes EC Career with NEWISA All-New England Honor

BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College senior back Kaylin Deschenes (Lynn, Mass.) has been named to the New England Women’s Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) All-Region First Team, as announced by the organization in early January. She becomes just the second player in program history to earn NEWISA All-Region honors, joining Kate [McKenna] Pelaggi ’10 as the only other honoree from EC. Pelaggi was named to the NEWISA All-Region First Team back in 2009 and second team in 2010.

Dash & Deschenes Named to All-New England Squad

BOSTON, Mass. - The United Soccer Coaches All-Region honors have been announced and Emmanuel College seniors Natalie Dash (East Hampton, Conn.) and Kaylin Deschenes (Lynn, Mass.) has earned Third Team All-New England accolades. It marks just the second time in program history that two Saints have landed on the All-Region during the same season, with the other occurring during the 2009 campaign.

Deschenes Named Defensive Player of the Year; One of Five Named GNAC All-Conference

WINTHROP, Mass. - Five players from the Emmanuel College women's soccer team were honored Monday morning earning Great Northeast Athletic Conference All-Conference honors as announced by the conference office. Senior Kaylin Deschenes (Lynn, Mass.) becomes the first player in GNAC history to earn back-to-back Defensive Player of the Year honors while fellow senior Natalie Dash (East Hampton, Conn.) joined her for the second consecutive year on the GNAC All-Conference First Team. Junior Sydney Allen (Charlestown, R.I.) was named to the Second Team and senior Abba McKenelley (Middleton, Mass.) and junior Rachel Prevost (Tewksbury, Mass.) both earned Third Team honors. In addition, senior Taylor Rathbun (Sheffield, Mass.) was named to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
