VISINHO NAMED WOMEN'S SOCCER HEAD COACH

BOSTON, Mass. - Following a national search, the Emmanuel College Athletic Department is pleased to announce the appointment of Greg Visinho as the Head Women’s Soccer Coach. Visinho becomes the sixth Head Coach in program history and will take over the day-to-day operations immediately.

GENERIS, MCKENELLEY & O'KANE EARN ALL-CONFERENCE HONORS; CAMPAGNA NAMED GNAC COACH OF THE YEAR

WINTHROP, Mass. – Sophomore Abba McKenelley (Middleton, Mass.), junior Kayla Generis (Wethersfield, Conn.) and sophomore Katherine O’Kane (Hanson, Mass.) have been selected to the 2017 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference team, it was announced by the conference office on Monday morning. The honor marks the first of each player’s career as McKenelley earns First Team honors while Generis and O’Kane received Second Team nods. Co-Head Coach Dan Campagna was also named the GNAC Coach of the Year in his first season with the squad.

WOMEN’S SOCCER FALLS TO SIMMONS IN GNAC QUARTERFINALS

BOSTON, Mass. - Simmons College scored early and late to power past Emmanuel College, 2-0, Saturday afternoon in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Quarterfinals at Roberto Clemente Field. The No. 6 Sharks bounce the No. 3 Saints from the tourney field and await the winner of the No. 7 Albertus Magnus vs. No. 2 Johnson & Wales University for their Semifinal opponent.

WOMEN’S SOCCER SET TO HOST SIMMONS IN GNAC TOURNEY QUARTERFINALS

BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College women's soccer team is set to host Simmons College in the 2017 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Quarterfinals this Saturday, October 28 with kickoff slotted for 1:00 PM at Roberto Clemente Field. The Saints earn the No. 3 seed with an 8-2-1 mark in GNAC play while the Sharks (6-4-1 GNAC) boast the No. 6 seed in the eight-team field.

SAINTS STREAK SNAPPED BY JWU IN 2-0 LOSS

BOSTON, Mass. - Johnson & Wales University used a goal by each of its top two scorers to power past Emmanuel College, 2-0, Wednesday evening in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action at Roberto Clemente Field. With the win the Wildcats earn the No. 2 seed in the GNAC tournament while the Saints settle for the No. 3 seed.

SALEM, Mass. - Sophomore midfielder Natalie Dash (East Hampton, Conn.) scored in the 37th minute of play to lift visiting Emmanuel College to a 1-0 road victory over Salem State University on Monday evening in non-conference women’s soccer action.

NORTHFIELD, Vt. – Senior captain Ashley Carvalho (Pinellas Park, Fla.) scored her second goal of the season, but it wasn't enough as the Norwich University women's soccer team fell 4-1 on Saturday night to Emmanuel College.

THE LEAD: Sophomore forward Kaylin Deschenes (Lynn, Mass.) scored the first goal just 11:53 into the match.  Kayla Generis (Wethersfield, Conn.) assisted Mikayla Guthrie’s (North Andover, Mass.) first career game-winner six minutes later to power the Saints past the Beacons in Wednesday evenings non-conference crosstown showdown at Roberto Clemente Field.
