WOMEN’S LACROSSE DROPS TWO DECISIONS ON CAROLINA SWING
HILTON HEAD, S.C.- The Emmanuel College women’s lacrosse team took off for warmer weather over spring break where they were blanked by Muhlenberg College 16-0 and fell to Cazenovia College 11-4. The games dropped the Saints to 0-3 and pushed the Mules and Wildcats to 2-1 and 1-1 respectively.

HILTON HEAD, S.C.- The Emmanuel College women's lacrosse team took off for warmer weather over spring break where they were blanked by Muhlenberg College 16-0 and fell to Cazenovia College 11-4. The games dropped the Saints to 0-3 and pushed the Mules and Wildcats to 2-1 and 1-1 respectively.
The Mules jumped out to an early lead on the Saints when Nora Fisher (West Hartford, Conn.) put one away at the 28:19 mark and they finished the half with a late goal by Gabriella Crivelli (Titusville, N.J.) with 1:17 remaining. At the break the Mules led by 11. The Saints tightened up defensively in the second stanza allowing five goals, but when the finals seconds ticked the score read 16-0. Bethany Bonilla-Colon (Milton Mass.) finished the game with 10 saves for the Saints.
The Saints had a stronger attack in game two against the Wildcats. The score was knotted at four after the first half, but Cazenovia would eventually pull away dropping the Saints 11-4. Savannah Lundwall (Fiskdale, Mass.) tallied a team high three points on a goal and two assists, while Emily Baker (Stratham, N.H.) scored a brace and Amanda Cook (Saco, Me.) scored one goal on the day.
Emmanuel College will be back in action on Tuesday March, 21 where they will host Regis College for a 7pm opening draw.
